A downloadable game for Windows

Daedalus is a Roguelite horror game inspired by the black-and-white science fiction movie era. In the Greek mythos, Daedalus was a skilled architect and craftsman who masterfully conceived the labyrinth of Crete to imprison the greek beast Minotaur.

The game challenges you to explore and escape a procedurally generated labyrinth of doors, where energy is the key to open your path to your way out.

Daedalus is a game created for the Mega Game Jam 2023, with the theme Antique Future. The team (Alexandre Chaves and Gustavo Wolff) took inspiration in both silent and modern suspense science fiction movies like Metropolis and Prometheus, where there's a blend of ancient and sci-fi technology.

The game takes place in a different dimension where the past and future are interconnected, via ancient Greek architecture and technology. The tools used to create this experience were Unreal Engine 5, Houdini engine, ZBrush, Blender, Audacy, and the Adobe Package.

We believe that this procedurally generated experience, made in the period of seven days, was able to pack a LOT of fun and we're excited to see the players' reactions.

The light and the sound were very brilliant in creating a sense of fear.

Words cannot describe the fear I felt when he first appeared.

A good work!

Thank you for playing and making this amazing gameplay! I had a lot of fun watching you play, and sincerely got scared together with you. lol.

Really interesting game! Does it have an actual end, though (aside from the "bad ending")? I got the black orb and returned it to the font next to the large door, but still was unable to open the door - not sure if that's the "end" of the game or if I'm missing something.

Fantastic job on the mood and atmosphere though, it's a great experience!

Hey Goober, there is an ending where you escape the place, but you will need to find 3 orbs.
